Where do I drop off my storage?
You don't drop it off -- we pick it up. We pick up your storage from the front of your dorm.
You schedule a specific time to meet us between May 3 - May 9 and we will be there to take your storage away.
How is my storage returned?
For Basic Storage, your storage will be waiting for you when you return to school. We work with University
Housing to place your boxes inside your room the week before you come back. Imagine opening your
dorm room door and seeing your storage. It doesn't get more convenient!
When do I get my four free boxes and tape?
Box distribution begins Monday, April 29. Pick up your boxes from our AU on-campus store.
What size are the boxes?
Each box measures 19"x19"x19'. We have found this to be adequate storage space for the
majority of students. Our boxes are large enough to hold most student items like books, bedding,
clothes, small appliances and electronic equipment. They are not designed to hold furniture such as
tables and sofas.
What if I need additional storage space?
You may always add to your space. Extra Basic Storage is priced at $60/box. This rates applies for our standard boxes. Extra storage space is
charged at a pro-rated basis. Larger boxes will cost more, smaller boxes will cost less.
When will The UPS Store be picking up storage?
We will pick up your storage between May 3 and May 9. You will schedule an appointment for us to meet you in front of your residence hall. Our
pick-up schedule is incredibly flexible. We know how hectic finals week can be, so we offer pick-ups every fifteen minutes.
What if I will be living off-campus next semester?
Basic Storage is still an excellent option for you but you should make arrangements to pick up your items at our store. We can deliver to an
off-campus location but you will incur off-campus delivery charges. We will work with you to make your storage pick-up delivery simple and
convenient. You must tell us 48 hours in advance of the time you want to pick up your storage or have it delivered.
Do I need to get the full package of four boxes?
Yes. It is the minimum storage amount we offer with Basic Storage. Our experience shows that the basic package is what most students need for
summer storage. Of course, you may always "buddy-up" with a friend.
Are the Berkshire Apartments and Tenley Campus considered off-campus housing?
Yes. Only dorms on the main campus and Nebraska Hall are considered "on-campus." The Berkshire Apartments and Tenley Campus are
"off-campus." Students living in the Berks or Tenley Campus should pick up their storage from our store after August 16 or make arrangements for
off-campus delivery.
I only need to store my stuff for a few weeks or a month. What should I do?
Short Term Storage is ideal for you! You must tell us that you want Short Term Storage before you give us your items because we sort short-term
boxes separately from all other storage. You will not have access to your items before August 17 unless you specifically inform us before your
pick-up that you want Short Term Storage.
I need to store my belongings for a long time. What should I do?
Long Term Storage is the answer for you. We will store your belongings for the entire summer, then we will hold them for any additional length of
time that you desire.

Boxes will be inventoried and checked by The UPS Store and AU Housing to ensure accuracy. Your boxes will be in your room before you are!
I'm using Short Term or Long Term Storage and cannot pick up my boxes at your store. What will happen?
We will make arrangements with Short Term and Long Term Storage customers to deliver boxes to a place and time designated by you.
Off-campus delivery charges may apply.
May I insure my storage?
Yes. The first $100 of value is free. After that, insurance costs $2.00 per $100 of value. There is no required minimum insurance.
May I store other items?
We accept many types of unboxed storage. Refrigerators, bikes, trunks, rugs, futons, etc. are all easily stored. See our list of Other Stored Items
for details. Do you have something not on the list? Ask us for a very reasonable price quote for unusual items.
